The Whitehall-Yearling Hall of Fame was founded in 1989 to promote pride in Whitehall schools and to honor those graduates with outstanding accomplishments.
The selection criteria consists of outstanding accomplishments, honors, or recognition in athletics, business, education, humanitarian pursuits, or service to school / community.
Five members were inducted when the wall was founded in 1989. Three new members are inducted each year. Hall of Fame induction ceremonies are normally held in February.
Nomination
applications are available in the offices of all Whitehall
City Schools. Persons may nominate any Whitehall-Yearling
High School
graduate who has made significant contributions to the community
and/or profession. Applicants must been out of high school
for 5 years. Applications may be submitted year 'round.
The selection committee meets each December.
Here are the members of
the Whitehall Yearling Hall of Fame. The number after the name is a temporary
thing - it is the photo ID number. If the name is blue, you can click on
it to see the individual's photo and the information from their plaque on
the Hall of Fame. If the name is not blue, we haven't yet uploaded the information.
If you happen to stop by the school and look at the Hall of Fame, would you please take a look and see who is on the wall just to the left of Scott A. Tedder, and then send an E-mail to update@wyhs.org to let us know who it is? Thanks!
The position shown with each name reflects the individual's position when inducted into the Hall of Fame.
