Glenn (WYHS Class of '70) and Vicki (Menhorn) Foltz (Class of '69) tell us the groundwork has been laid to begin an endowed scholarship at Capital University in loving memory of Jason Michael Dean, age 22, the son of John and Carolyn (Miller) Dean (both in class of '69).
Jason was tragically killed in a plane crash on October 20, 2000. As a tribute to Jason, Glenn and Vicki are asking for help in raising at least $10,000 by the end of the year to begin this scholarship.
Glenn and Vicki hope to have the money secured before John and Carolyn are informed of this scholarship. At that time they will be given a list of all their friends who generously contributed. Please be discrete, but feel free to pass this message along to anyone you feel would like to make a donation.
For those who did not have the pleasure of knowing Jason, he was a remarkable young man. His death has come as a shock to all that knew him, and John and Carolyn are totally devastated by their loss. Jason graduated from Capital University in May 2000 and John is also a Capital graduate. Carolyn is currently employed by Capital.
If you wish to be a part of this living legacy, please make your check payable to Capital University and address it to:
