Band attend Band Camp next year by making a donation to
the Alumni Band Fund. Donations can be made by anyone interested
in helping the kids.
Donate By Check: Please make your check
payable to "W.I.M.B.A." (Whitehall Instrumental

It starts to get a bit dark about the time I show
up for practice (I know, it wouldn't be so dark if I'd get there
on time or a bit early). I never remember to change the exposure
setting on my digital camera, so many of my outdoor pictures
are a bit out of focus. Wait a minute - maybe it isn't the camera
setting that causes the blurring. Maybe the Alumni Ramettes
are doing their moves soooooo fast that the camera just can't
keip up. Yeah...that's what's happening. Go Alumni Ramettes!

As I understand it, sometime during the 2001 football
season, the seniors in the marching band put together a series
of "dance steps" that the band does during the song
"Messing with the Kid." The dance is a big hit with
the band and the fans in the stands, so it was included in this
year's halftime show. During our Tuesday night practice, a few
of the older members of the Alumni Band tried to join in during
the dance interlude. I don't think we'll be performing at Radio
City Music Hall any time soon, but it sure was fun.
