All of these

who spearheaded
the All Class
Reunion.
If it wasn't
for Leo,
the All Class
Reunion probably
would not
have happened.
Thanks Leo! September 20 Planning Meeting
In our meeting on September 20, 2008, we went over the schedule.
We are still looking for some volunteers for all of the events.
Since we are now going to make and serve the food, we talked
about where we can get the best deals. Several new people joined
the meeting; they volunteered to see what they could get in
the way of donations or at a reduced cost.
In the original flier, it said that we would charge $2 for
the picnic. This and other charges are an effort to recoup our
costs and leave some money for the All-Class Reunion in four
years. Instead of charging $2, we will try to make some money
on selling the hot dogs.
We still need volunteers to decorate the tables with pictures
and memorabilia from their class. If you would like to volunteer,
please e-mail Mary Brobst .
We had volunteer, Juanita Williams Furuta, to coordinate the
Friday Football event. She is working with the school and the
Athletic Department on the arrangements.
Juanita is looking for former cheerleaders, if the are one
or know how to contact one please e-mail her.
Everything is still a go with the Friday evening event at
the CBR Bar. For those of you who have not been in Columbus
for a while, the CBR bar is in the brewery district. The Brewery
District is just west across High Street from German Village.
We are receiving more and more e-mails about people with some
classic automobiles. The parade looks like it will be nice and
long. It will be well worth watching if you are not in the event.
The pancake Bunch is still a go.
The school viewing is still a go. Remember it may be the last
time you get to view the school. We are hoping that the levy
passes in November to replace all of the schools. The State
of Ohio will pay 61% and the city residence will pay the rest.
It is a great opportunity to update our updated schools.
The next meeting is on October 4, 2008, 10:00am in the Whitehall
City
Council Chambers. If needed, we will also meet on Oct 11.

Former Band Member: This is Jeff Harriman's 30th year as WYHS
band director. There are plans to have as many former band members
as they can to help celebrate the occasion, during the Home
Coming Game. I will send out more information as I get it.
**************************************************************************
Former Cheerleaders: Juanita Furuta (Williams) is looking
for other
former cheerleaders to meet at the football game. If you are a
former cheerleader please e-mail her.
**************************************************************************
Some people on these e-mail lists are serving our country
in
the military service. They will not be able to attend our event. I
would like to make a sign with the names of our few Rams that are
serving in the military. If you are one of them or you know someone
that is servicing in the military, please send me their name. I will
put together the sign.
**************************************************************************
As a reminder, the All-Class Reunion welcomes anyone that
has
attended any of the Whitehall Schools or worked for the School System
in any capacity. We would like to see everyone the helped to make us
the way we are.

Aug 2, 2008 Meeting:
We went over the schedule.
We did not say much about the Friday afternoon picnic during this
meeting. I did receive an update from Mary afterwards; she was out
of town during the meeting. She decided to cook the food on our own
instead of having Chris Cakes do the cooking. They were looking for
an exact count on the people and only wanted to be there for an
hour. Therefore, we are looking for more volunteers to help with the
cooking and serving of the food.
The other volunteers we are looking are to people to decorate
the tables with pictures and memorabilia from their class. If
you would like to volunteer, please contact Mary Brobst.
Juanita Williams Furuta volunteered to coordinate the Friday
Football event. She is determining what will occur during this event.
Everything is still a go with the Friday evening event at the CBR
Bar. For those of you who have not been in Columbus for a while, the

automobiles. The parade looks like it will be nice and long. It

We did not have an update on the Pancake brunch. I hope that
we will
have an update at the next meeting.

The next meeting is on September 6, 2008,
10:00am in the Whitehall
City Council Chambers. The rest of the schedule for the meetings is
Sep 20, and Oct 4. If we need to, we will also meet on Oct 11.

April 5 Message:
In our meeting on April 5, we talked about the schedule of
events.
We are still only going to have events on Friday and Saturday.
We are leaving Saturday night and Sunday for individual classes
to have events.
We are still coordinating with the School system for the use
of the High School and the tour of the schools.
In case you do not know, there may be a bond initiative on
the ballet in November, that will allow the school system to
replace all of the school in the next five years. The Schools
will receive a 2/3 of the money from a state grant. The Saturday,
October 18 tour may be the last time some of you will be able
to see the old schools.

March 12 Message:
Rachel Duval provided this update on the 3/1/08
meeting and
its results.
"We are hoping to schedule
the
2008 All Class
Reunion
for Homecoming
weekend
this fall.
"We
have
pared the Reunion
down
from 3 days to
2
days. We are planning
to
start with a picnic
on
Friday afternoon,
then
an evening/later evening event for those who don't want to
go
to
the football game and/or
those
who want somewhere
to
go after the football game.
"There will be a parade Saturday
morning,
followed
immediately
by a
pancake breakfast.
I have
volunteered to run the parade and Leo is going
to be
in charge of the pancake
breakfast.
"We had
8
people at the 3/1/08
meeting.
We still need someone willing to spearhead the Friday evening
event
and
someone to be in
charge
of the Friday
picnic.
We also need
LOTS
more volunteers
to
help with the picnic,
the
Friday evening events,
the
pancake breakfast,
and
general reuion planning.
"The next
planning
meeting
is Saturday,
April
5, 2008 at
10:00
a.m. in the Whitehall
City
Council chambers.
"We'd really like everyone to attend the next meeting.
Whether you can attend
the
meeting or not, please
contact
Leo to volunteer
to
help with the reunion.
Regardless
of
where you live,
we
can use your help.
February 15 Message:
Leo
Knoblauch
is spearheading
the discussion
about
a second All Class
Reunion.
Here's
a bit of information
he sent
around - hope you
can make
the meeting!
"Three and half years ago WYHS Alumni Association sponsored
an
all-class reunion.
After
the event many people wished to have the event again in four
years.
"This note is going out to you. to find out if
we have enough
volunteers
to
put together another all-class
reunion.
"Adding up the attendance at all of the events over
all-class reunion weekend,
we
had over 1000
people
in attendance.
It
would be great to double this attendance
mark.
The problem is
we
need people to help out
at
al of the events. At the last one we had many people
helping
out at a few events and very few at others. It would be great
to
be able
to
even out the number volunteers
at
each event.
On Mar
1, 2008,
at 10:00am,
we will have a meeting at the Whitehall City Council chambers
(behind
City
Hall,
360 S. Yearling Rd. Whitehall, Ohio 43213).
"Please
pass
this
informationl along
to
anyone you know
that
is a Whitehall Alumni. A
Whitehall
Alumni
is any one that
attended
any
one of the Whitehall
City
Schools (no matter
how
long); or worked for any part of the Whitehall City Schools
(Administration,
Teacher,
Bus Driver, etc.)
Thank
You,
Leo
Knoblauch "
